Help I'm lost!
Our site has been designed so that you should never get lost. The navigation bar on the left of the screen enables you to move between the different services that we offer on our site. Just click on the different sections to access the relevant information. At the top of each page, there are links to other relevant pages and services within the section that you are in.
How do I contact you?
If you can’t find what you are looking for or have a question which has not been answered on our website, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
How do I register and what is its purpose?
Joining our registration scheme could not be simpler; just click on the Register link and complete the form. You will be asked to register before you make your first purchase, although you can do so earlier if you wish.
Registering will allow you to buy books, receive personalised e-mail newsletters and will create a better online experience for you by creating your own user profile. You only need to register once for full access to our website. From then on, use the Login facility to utilise the advantages of being a registered member.
What is my user profile for?
Your user profile stores your personal details to speed up the online shopping process and lets you look at your own personal shopping basket. To change your details, login and then enter by clicking on the "profile" button on the left of the page. Then amend your details and click-on the "Save Profile" button at the bottom of the page.
What about privacy?
What information do you store about me?
The information we store on our secure system is your name and contact details. We also store general web statistics like dates and times that you last logged in, which is only used for security purposes, and your shopping basket data. This information is kept private by using encryption on our site. We use this information to process the orders and provide a more personalised shopping experience.
To keep you informed about our latest offers, current promotions and STRI news, we may occasionally notify you by email or by an email newsletter. If you do not wish to receive such comunications, click here. Please remember to type UN-SUBSCRIBE in the comments box.
The information you provide STRI will not be passed on to a third party. Any personal details you provide STRI will only be used within STRI.
Is this information secure?
We are committed to protecting your privacy. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to others. All your personal information is 100% SAFE through our secure server and password protected administration system.
How do you use cookies on your site?
A cookie is a very small text file placed on your hard drive by a web page server. We use them because it saves you time. Cookies help us to remember who you are, allowing us to show you the information you need like you login username and password. What about security?
Shopping at our website is completely safe. We use our own Thawte Secure Server Digital Certificate to encrypt your information to ensure that your transactions are private and protected. The encryption process takes the characters you enter and converts them into bits of code that are then securely transmitted over the World Wide Web. If any other Internet user intercepts the communication he/she will only be able to see it in an encrypted (garbled) form. Certificate technology allows us to decrypt the information, and view it in plain text form.

How do I register with the SUB Club?
Becoming a SUB Club member couldn't be easier. If you are a subscriber and have already registered on the website, all you need to do is to login to the website and click on the green 'Profile' button at the left of the screen to update your user profile with your subscription details. Please remember to tick the I'm a STRI Subscriber box at the bottom of the page. For information on STRI Subscriptions call Client Service Co-ordinator on 01274 518918.
